I know this was posted a while ago, but I just found out about this blog by way of the oyin podcasts (you guys are awesome!) Every time I find a new blog, I always start from the newest and go back and read and view all of the previous posts....almost like, "what have I missed!" All of your posts are comment-worthy in that they are some of the most creatively thought provoking posts I've seen in a while. I had to respond to this post because i know EXACTLY how you feel! I am an artist as well, I work in graphic and web design, but my first love has always been oil painting. Weirdly enough, I didn't realize how much of a perfectionist I was until I tried to make something with my hands and stopped because I didn't like it within the first 10 minutes. I guess my point is, somehow working past our initial throughts more than likely leads to something beautiful and if not......well....i guess we learned somethin'?! lol!

i thought i was the only one who threw away journals :O) i feel your pain and plan to follow your lead. all my writing is tucked away in my head, hard drive, random scattered notebooks...you've encouraged me to find a public space for my creativity. yay!

Petey, I've had to go through a similar process. So great to hear you're putting yourself out there. You go out there--let God tell you what's good.
